studied in previous papers(1)~(4). In the composition range of the single phase near the stoichiometric composition, the former three compounds have been found to have nearly similar magnetic properties to those of Heusler alloys(5). However, many points remain unclear for the compound PtMnSn which is only known to be a fluorite-type ferromagnetic substance. The purpose of this paper is to present the experimental results of a recent detailed study of this compound.
