produced by arc melting high purity Cu(99.9%), Ti(99.9%), Zr(99.9%), Ni(99.9%), In(99.9%) and Si(99.9%) under a dynamic Ar atmosphere. Due to the limited resources, sponge Ti and Zr instead of metallic Ti and Zr were used together with electrolytic cupper. Rapidly solidified ribbon specimens were prepared by remelting the alloys in quartz tubes, and ejecting with an over-pressure of 50 kPa through a nozzle onto a Cu wheel rotating with a surface velocity of 40 m/s. The resulting ribbons have a thickness of about 45 mm and a width of about 2 mm. The injection casting was performed to make bulk samples.
