House Creek Village (Site 5MT2J20). is a large Anasazi habitation located 1.3 km east of the Dolores Ri\'cr and ~ . 7 km nonh\lo'C51 of Dolores. Colorado. The site contains an easl·wesl arc of building rubble comprising 4 major mounds. Three smaller rubble mounds are associated with this arc. Limited excavations at House Creek Village full y or partjaJJ~ ('.,posed 12 rooms and 4 pitsuucturtS. The primary occupation al the site is assigned to the Periman Suhphase( .4.,D. 850-9(0) orlhc McPhee PhaseCA.D. 850-975' according to Dolores Archaeological Program systematics. or 10 the Pueblo I period according 10 the Pecos Classification.
