We regard the writings of such women as Mrs. Child, as among the most valuable works now issued from the press. They are valuable, not only for the additional richness they must impart to the female mind, and the greater degree of enjoyment they throw around the domestic fireside,-but they have an important bearing on the well-being of our country. Where are we to look for the future good and great of our land? and on whom is their moral character in a great degree dependent?
