The ac ci den tal leak age of nat u ral gas pipe line is one of the main pro duc tions for nat u ral gas in air en vi ron ment, and la ser tech nol ogy is a method to de tect nat u ral gas pipe line leak age. In this study, the ef fect of leak ing nat u ral gas dis per sion on the la ser de tec tion was nu mer i cally in ves ti gated. Four fac tors ef fect on nat u ral gas dis per sion and in ten sity of la ser de tec tion were also an a lyzed in clud ing leak age ap er ture, leak age ve loc ity, de tec tion dis tance, and leak age time. The re sults show that the spec tral de tec tion value de creases by 3.72% at high-speed leak age, 2.74% at me dium-speed leak age, and 0.46% at low-speed leak age, when de tec tion dis tance in creases by 10% in the ver ti cal di rec tion of leak hole. Detection time and leak hole both has a large in flu ence on la ser de tec tion in ten sity in high-speed leak age com pared with two oth ers. This re search re sults can pro vide a help for the safe eval u a tion of gas pipe line emer gency.
