Shale-like copper nanostructure was synthesized for the first time from a   water-in-oil microemulsion medium comprising Triton™ X-100/cyclohexane/water   ternary system. The nanoshales were synthesized through chemical reduction   by hydrazinium hydroxide in alkaline medium.
