The level and structure of household expenses is determined by the amount of income earned. In the analysed period, the results of the household budget survey indicate an increase in both the average monthly disposable income per one person of the household as well as the average monthly expenditure per person on consumer goods and services. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate how the shift in the level of farm household incomes in relation to households in general influences the change in expenditures on consumer goods and services. For the purpose of the study, secondary data obtained from the reports of the Central Statistical Office were used.
