This paper presents a tour of some methodological dilemmas when we make ethnographic anthropology at nearby sporting contexts or which we belong. Which refers to the possibility of relativism: From a dialogue with the materials of my own ethnographic field work, some situations that occurred during fieldwork with swimmers “master” reflection focusing on three main issues they will be discussed and its limits; it is apparent that the role of the researcher in the field interactions and finally the emotive issue and place the affections play in our fieldwork. Thus, it is considered methodological reflection as a means to improve our social knowledge.
