In the world of work there is a phenomenon, sometimes misunderstood, sometimes confusing and / or unclear and which is still a topic of analysis and conversation, the problem that is mentioned is the Burnout Syndrome, its translation in Spanish as Burning for Work Syndrome, a relatively new concept and strongly studied in recent decades, as it is considered a psychosocial risk. Faced with the development and analysis of this problem, Engagement has emerged as a possible solution. Initially the appearance of this concept emerged as a construct diametrically opposed to Burnout (Salanova and Schaufeli, 2009); However, the latest research has shown that they are not totally independent or antipodal (Shaufeli & Bakker 2004; Goering, Shimazu, Zhou, Wada, Sakai (2017), intertwine, overlap (Taris, Ybema, Beek 2017) and in front of this panorama is important to analyze both constructs or one in light of the other (Salanova and Llorens, 2008). The objective of this text is to make a reading analysis of the phenomena burnout and Engagement in the medical staff and understand their reading from the subjectivities, the psychological theories.
