Neste artigo, discute-se o papel do professor enquanto agente de letramento em contexto de aprendizagem ativa na engenharia. Analisa-se entrevistas realizadas com professores do Mestrado Integrado em Engenharia e Gestao Industrial (MIEGI) da Universidade do Minho, Portugal, que, por meio de projetos curriculares, insere os estudantes em empresas para um estagio. Os resultados das analises indicaram que os docentes entrevistados nao se consideram agentes de letramento, embora trabalhem processualmente a escrita dos estudantes. ABSTRACT This paper discusses the role of the teacher as a literacy agent in the context of active learning in engineering. We analyze interviews with professors of the Integrated Masters in Engineering and Industrial Management (MIEGI) of the University of Minho, Portugal, which, through curricular projects, enrolls students in companies for an internship. The results of the analyzes indicated that the teachers interviewed do not consider themselves literacy agents, although they work in writing students. KEYWORDS: Active learning. Academic literacy.
