Resumo: Este artigo apresenta o relato de uma experiência antropológica sobre a replicação do modelo de Tecnologia Social (TS) de gestão comunitária de resíduos orgânicos no distrito do Lago do Limão, em Iranduba/AM. A TS foi desenvolvida na comunidade Chico Mendes, em Florianópolis/SC por meio do projeto “Revolução dos Baldinhos”, uma iniciativa comunitária e de gestão local.  A implantação da composteira enquanto método socioambiental ocorreu na escola Chico Mendes, com a sensibilização das/os alunas/os e engajamento da turma de 5º. ano na sua construção e alimentação durante o ano de 2019. O processo de ambientalização da comunidade levou-nos a concluir que a transdiciplinaridade é uma condição necessária no trato das questões ambientais. No idioma ecológico das/os estudantes, foi incorporado um modelo de gestão de resíduos orgânicos, ampliando seu conhecimento sobre práticas de separação do lixo e transformação de materiais orgânicos. Enquanto método sócio ambiental, a compostagem  trouxe novos elementos para a abertura de diálogos sobre meio ambiente, sustentabilidade e educação ambiental.Palavras-chave: Tecnologia Social; Compostagem, Educação ambiental; AmbientalizaçãoAN ANTHROPOLOGICAL VIEW ABOUT COMPOSTING AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AT LAGO DO LIMÃO (IRANDUBA / AM)Abstract: This article presents the report of an anthropological experience on the reproduction of the Social Technology (ST) model of community management of organic waste in Lago do Limão, district of Iranduba / AM. Such ST was developed in Chico Mendes, neighborhood located in the peripheral region of Florianópolis / SC through the project “Revolução dos Baldinhos”: a community initiative to local management. The implementation of organic waste composting as a socioenvironmental method took place at the Chico Mendes School, with the sensitization of students to the construction, and engagement of the 5th grade class, which during 2019 was responsible for maintaining it. The community's environmentalization process has led us to conclude that transdisciplinarity is a necessary condition in dealing with environmental issues. In the ecological language of the scholars, a solid waste management model was incorporated, expanding their knowledge about the separation of waste and on the transformation of organic materials. As a socioenvironmental method, composting brought new elements to the opening of dialogues about environment, sustainability and environmental education.Keywords: Social Technology; Composting, Environmental education; Environmentalization
