In March 2012 the Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment obser ved the disappearance of electron antineutrinos at about 2 km. Within the three-neutrino flavo r framework this result can be used for measuring a value of sin 2( 2θ13) for the least known neutrino mixing angle θ13. The exposure of 116.8 kton-GWth-day improved the result to sin 2 2θ13= 0.089±0.010stat±0.005syst, the most precise measurement of θ13 to date. A short overview of the experiment, results and pros pects are presented.
