Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP), Kyoto University, Kyoto 606-01, JapanE-mail:tyamazak@yukawa.kyoto-u.ac.jpWe report on an attempt to calculate the light-by-light contribution to the muon anomalous mag-netic moment in QED, using lattice techniques, as a rst but s ignicant step toward computingthe analogous hadronic contribution. We use domain wall fermions on quenched non-compactQED congurations. The method is discussed in detail, and pr eliminary results are presented. Asignal is not obtained with the limited statistics accumulated so far.
