EnglishIssues related to the environment are increasingly addressed in society. With the implementation of the National Solid Waste Policy, organizations are encouraged to find viable alterations in the technical and environmental scope that aim to reduce, reuse and recycle the waste generated in their processes, thus converging to this same common point CleanerProduction and Industrial Symbiosis. The objective of this study was to identify the possibilities of applying Cleaner Production and Industrial Symbiosis to assist the management of solid waste in a Sinos Valley Synthetic Laminate Industry by means of a case study. The data were collected through a residue mapping, performed through unstructured interview and document consultation. The results showed that there is a possibility of applying Cleaner Production to reduce solid waste generation and with Industrial Symbiosis, with the sale or exchange of waste with partner companies in the region that reuse or recycle their processes. The results point to the reduction of environmental liabilities and a projected 95% savings in waste disposal compared to the estimated expenditure on the situation without the application of these strategies. portuguesTemas relacionados ao meio ambiente sao cada vez mais abordados na sociedade. Com a implementacao da Politica Nacional de Residuos Solidos as organizacoes sao instigadas a encontrarem alterativas viaveis no âmbito tecnico e ambiental que visem a reducao, reutilizacao e reciclagem dos residuos gerados em seus processos, assim convergindo para um mesmo ponto comum a Producao Mais Limpa e a Simbiose Industrial. O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar possibilidades de aplicacao da Producao Mais Limpa e Simbiose Industrial que auxiliem na gestao dos residuos solidos em uma Industria de Laminados Sinteticos do Vale do Sinos por meio de um estudo de caso. Os dados foram coletados por meio de um mapeamento dos residuos, entrevistas nao estruturadas e consultas a documentos. Os resultados demonstraram que existe a possibilidade de aplicacao da Producao Mais Limpa para reduzir a geracao de residuos solidos e com a Simbiose Industrial com a venda ou troca de residuos com empresas parceiras da regiao que reutilizem ou reciclem em seus processos. Os resultados apontam a reducao do passivo ambiental e uma economia projetada de 95% com destinacao de residuos comparado com o estimado gasto na situacao sem a aplicacao destas estrategias
