Sphenoid and clivus giant cell tumor: report of four cases and review of literature Osteoclastomas, or giant cell tumors, rarely involve skull bones, and almost never involve the skull base, namely the sphenoid and the clivus. Presently there are 48 cases published in the literature, with much controversy regarding the treatment, mostly involving operative and adjuvant radiotherapy. Four new cases are reported as regards clinical presentation, medical treatment and follow-up. * Disciplina de Neurocirurgia, Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade Federal de São Paulo.
