In the daily work, dentists are required to perform precision in relatively small treatment areas , inside the mouth. W e often find a dentist who does his work with an awkward position in a relatively long time. Musculoskeletal disorders often occur as a result of less ergonomic body position while working which occurs for a long time and repeatedly. The aim of this descriptive observational study was to determine the application of ergonomic posture by Hasanuddin University clinic al dental student during treatment procedures . The ergonomic posture during treatment measures assessed by direct observation on 78 clinical students of Faculty of Dentistry using test of visual perception (TVP) which consists of 8 items . This study showed that the most ergonomic posture often overlooked when performing treatment procedures is back position performed by 51 respondents (65 . 4%) . P osition ing the feet in such a way that the angle between the thigh and calf form the angle of 110o or more is the most rarely overlooked, just 19 respondents (24 . 4%). In this study, 39 respondents (50%) were categorized as sufficient, which means 50% of ergonomic stance/posture has been applied . It was concluded that e rgonomic posture appli ed by clinical dental student s of Hasanuddin University during treatment procedur e was categorized as adequate. Saat melakukan perawatan, dokter gigi membutuhkan ketelitian di area perawatan yang relatif kecil, yaitu daerah mulut. Sering dijumpai dokter gigi yang melakukan pekerjaannya dengan posisi janggal dalam waktu yang relatif lama. Gangguan muskuloskeletal kerap terjadi akibat posisi tubuh sewaktu bekerja kurang ergonomis dan terjadi dalam waktu yang lama serta berulang-ulang. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui penerapan postur tubuh yang ergonomis oleh mahasiswa tahap profesi Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Hasanuddin selama prosedur perawatan. Melalui penelitian penelitian observasi deskriptif, penerapan postur tubuh yang ergonomis selama tindakan perawatan dinilai dengan cara melakukan pengamatan langsung dengan menggunakan test of visual perception (TVP) yang terdiri dari 8 item pada 78 mahasiswa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa postur ergonomis yang paling sering diabaikan saat melakukan prosedur perawatan adalah memposisikan punggung pada 51 responden (65,4%), dan memposisikan kaki sehingga sudut antara paha dan betis membentuk sudut yang besarnya 110o atau lebih, merupakan posisi yang paling jarang diabaikan, yakni 19 responden (24,4%). Pada penelitian ini 39 responden termasuk dalam klasifikasi cukup yang berarti 50% sikap/ postur tubuh ergonomis telah diterapkan. Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan postur tubuh yang ergonomik oleh mahasiswa tahap profesi FKG Unhas selama prosedur perawatan pada penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori cukup.
