HIV-AIDS epidemic is concentrated in specific groups in Mexico. The men who have sex with men (MSM) are a prominent group in which the epidemic is relevant due unprotected sexual practices; some of these risk practices are known as bareback or raw sex and recently they have been researched in many academic fields. The current research was focused on the analysis of key words associated with word bareback and attitudinal evaluation of this concept using data collected from a sample of 1009 men who have sex with men from Mexico City. The results showed the presence of two latent factors for the attitude toward bareback, one factor associated with a rational evaluation and the other factor with a hedonist evaluation; furthermore, thirty words showed a high association with the concept bareback from a sample of 1514 words. The results obtained were discussed based on theoretical and previous research from the field of behavioral sciences.
