discussion on new approaches to research assessment – it was then somewhat surprising that the evidence gathered in our study showed that generic programs are widely based on standard processes. This article presents our approach to capture dynamics in a slowly moving context. Before that, we provide an introduction to the broader framework of our study, as we are convinced that this is a promising setting to feed empirical results into design processes, and thereby reinforce the abovementioned dynamics.
