To investigate the hydrodynamic environment and water quality in Lake Teganum, a which is one of well-known eutrophiedl akes in Japan, we have performed field measurementson watert emperature, Chlorophyll-a and current structure. For the field observation, we deployed 15 mooredb uoys with various memory-type sensors and conducted CTD measurements. The result shows that the formationo f diurnalt hermals tratificationi s closelyr elatedw ith the increase of Chlorophyll-a. The temporal and spatial variations of Chlorophyll-a in the lake are examined with special attention to the discharge from North-Chiba water conveyance channel. We also clarify the vertical circulation of wind-drivenc urrentw hicho ccursa ppreciably in the lake with shallow water depth less than 1m.
