After implementation of the first rainwater infiltration system in Japan at the Akishima-Tsutsujigaoka Heights Housing Complex in 1981, more than 20 years has been passed. In order to evaluate the annual changes in the performance of these equipment for the run-off control, rainfall observation and discharges measurements have been conducted continuously for the districts with and without infiltration facilities since 1981. This paper presents the conserving water circulation effect and flood control effect by the infiltration system based on the observed data of the Akishima-Tsutsujigaoka Heights Housing Complex, and describes the durability of infiltration system over the period of 20 years.
