消波ブッロク被覆堤は反射・伝達波や波力の低減効果に優れ、浅海域における我が国の代表的な防波堤の構造形式のひとつであり、その断面形状は、消波工と本体工の天端高さを等しくするのが一般的である。近年、公共事業に対する高付加価値化、低コスト化が求められる中、防波堤においても本来の防波機能に加えて、多岐にわたる付加機能が求められている。そこで、本体工よりも消波工の天端を所期の機能を有する範囲で低くすることができれば建設コストの縮減が可能である。本報告では、これまで十分に報告されていない上記のような消波工と本体工の天端高さが異なる場合の水理特性と耐波安定性について水理模型実験により明らかにし、消波ブロック被覆堤の設計法の高度化を目指すものである
