となっている(図-1). 洗掘溝の発生要因は,(1)潜堤の堤頭部における局所 洗掘が潜堤の延伸に伴い帯状に形成される,(2)潜堤天 端上の砕波による乱れが潜堤背後に突入して海底砂を巻 き上げる,ことが栗山ら(2007)や吉田ら(2001)によ り指摘されており,また,養浜砂の流出要因は,(3)潜 堤背後で巻き上げられた砂が潜堤背後の沿岸流により区 域外に運ばれることが考えられる. これらを要因とした洗掘溝の形成や養浜砂の区域外へ の流出を軽減させるために,現在整備中の寄居浜地区は 二列潜堤で整備することとした(図-2).二列潜堤は,天 端幅の大きい一山潜堤と比べて,潜堤背後の水位上昇が 小さいこと,潜堤背後の底面流速振動が小さいことが, 吉田ら(2001)によって示されており,相対的にコスト 新潟西海岸における整備中の二列潜堤の水理特性について Hydrological characteristics on the double row submerged-breakwater under construction in Niigata West Coast
