2010年8月,2011年3月,2011年9月の3回にわたっ てサンドパック突堤による侵食対策が施された伊良部大 橋南側の領域東西およそ100m,南北200mの領域でラジ コンボートによる水深の測定を行った.サンドパック突 堤が設置されたのは2011年3月である.サンドパック突 堤がない場合の地形変化とサンドパック突堤がある場合 の地形変化の違いを分析するために各水深データの差を とった.結果を図-3に示す.図-3より,サンドパック突 堤が設置されていなかった2010年8月~2011年3月では 橋の南側で一様に海底面が上昇しているのに対し,サン ドパック突堤が設置された2011年3月~2011年9月では 橋の近傍と突堤周囲で海底面が上昇し、橋と突堤の間の 領域で海底面が低下していることが確認できた.このこ とから,調査時点でサンドパック突堤は通常の突堤設置 海岸線から突出した構造物による海岸侵食機構と サンドパック突堤の侵食制御性能 Beach Erosion Mechanism by a Structure Protruding from Shoreline and the Performance of a Sand-packed Jetty against Beach Erosion
