The power generation using vortex-excited vibration of a circular cylinder with diameter D in steady flow were estimated. The variation of the lift forces acting on the vortex-excited cylinder against the amplitude of cylinder oscillation were evaluated quantitatively. The maximum value of energy conversion rate=0.13 for hydraulic power appears at reduced velocity=5.26 and reduced damping=1.7 with Y/D=0.52.
