From the days of Ancient Greece, jurists and philosophers were concerned with the problems of conceptualizing, demarcating and connecting law, morals and justice. The transformations of philosophical thoughts and of the cultures themselves in the different civilizations also reflected in the transformations of the conceptions on how the law was conceived and its relation with axiological and political elements. Jusnaturalism was the philosophical current that prevailed during most of history; positivism lasted little more than a century and sought to overcome the religious beliefs and metaphysics that influenced the main currents of jusnaturalism. Post-positivism, which is the predominant current in the current legal scenario, has been built with the proposal to reintroduce axiological elements to the law, establishing as a starting point the dignity of the human person..
