Clinical studies include 23 patients with solitary brain metastasis. 12 patients were receiving the whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) adjuvantly with a dose in 2,4 Gy per fraction to total dose in 40 Gy ; 11 patients were re-ceiving additionally the boost in 0,6 Gy on bed of metastasis in 4-5 hours after WBRT. Objective is to study acute stage of radiation toxicity and neurological symptoms and to estimate the influence of boost in quality of life and tolerance of radiotherapy. In the start and the end of the treatment the patients were tested by question-naire of The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) QLQ-C30 as an inte-grated system for assessing the health related quality of life of cancer patients and QLQ-BN-20 as a module for brain cancer patients. As the result of the research the boost to bed of the metastasis after WBRT in radiother-apy interval doesn’t increase toxic reactions and doesn’t influence on tolerance of radiotherapy.
