Patient: The patient was a 60-year-old female, with dental anxiety and complaints of esthetic dissatisfaction due to elongated teeth and masticatory dysfunction due to ill-fitting dentures. A complete denture was placed after tooth extraction. The outline of the upper complete denture was modified to a palateless denture according to her requirement. This treatment shows a good prognosis 5 years later. Discussion: The aim of prosthodontic treatment is restore not only the functions of occlusion, mastication, and swallowing but also improve esthetic dissatisfaction and comfort. The present case suggests that modification of the upper complete denture according to the patient’s requirement led to her satisfactory progress. Conclusion: In response to the complaint of discomfort of the upper complete denture, the outline of the upper complete denture was modified to a palateless denture according to the patient’s requirement regarding the prevention of ridge resorption, and masticatory dysfunction. The palateless denture shows a good prognosis 5 years later.
