In the previous note concerning the result of precise levelling in Etigo and Sinan0, I have pointedout, amongst other things, the strikingfeatures of the upheavals of land accompanied by the Susaka earthquake of Jan. 17, 1897, and the Sekihara earthquake of Oct. 27, 1927.
