Method: In order to investigate the output characteristics of the Outer Rotor Spoke-type PMSM, comparison and analysis were conducted on three models of 16-poles/9-slots, 20-pole/9-slots and 22-poles/9-slots. Compare models were conducted with the limited condition which applies the same current density, phase voltage limit, and stator. The final model was optimized based on the model with the best output characteristics among three compare models.
