This study analyzes the current process of structural change experienced by the correios, with the adoption of one divisional model through the creation of Strategic Business Units (UEN), proposal from the year 2015 . By doing this, it reflects on the conceptual foundations of this transformation, to understand the implications and future challenges that decision. To take this investigative project to term, it was used as an analytical model the structural configurations of Henry Mintzberg (2003). In pursuing this methodological approach, it was possible to realize the challenges posed by divisionalisation regarding the formation of new structural configuration, the location of the new decision-making centers in the UEN and the relations levels of services between them. In this sense, the structural transformation seeks to respond to a new strategic direction adopted by Brazilian Post Office, already established in European postal administrations, aiming to improve care and oriented towards results, consider improvements on issues such as access, quality, \ and service level even with all restrictions and care that this model contemplates.
