This study aimed to test the effectiveness of counseling program in improving the quality of life for families of children with special needs. The sample consisted of 12 women (N = 6 control group and N = 6 experimental group) aged between 20-50 years old. All the participants have direct contact with the special need’s children, and their ages ranged from up to 10 years of age. Assessments were used to measure quality-oflife for the family members of the special needs’ children. This investigation employees a quasi-experimental methodology, with the counseling program as the dependent variable and the level of quality-oflife as an independent variable. The results show that there is deference between the control and experimental groups based on the quality-of-life scale, the results also showed that there is deference between the pretest and posttest in the experimental group according to the scale dimensions.
