هدفت الدراسة تعرف فاعلیة نظام المقررات بالمرحلة الثانویة السعودیة من وجهة نظر الطلاب والمعلمین، واستخدمت المنهج الوصفی، واعتمدت على الاستبانة فی جمع البیانات، وطبقت على عینة مکونة من (651) منهم (208) معلم، و(443) طالب بالمرحلة الثانویة، وتوصلت إلى ما یلی: أن فاعلیة أهداف نظام المقررات من وجهة نظر عینة الدراسة جاءت مرتفعة، وأن فاعلیة محتوى نظام المقررات من وجهة نظر عینة الدراسة جاءت متوسطة، وأن فاعلیة نظام المقررات فی تحقیق التفاعل والانسجام بین التخصصات جاءت متوسطة، وأن فاعلیة نظام المقررات فی تحقیق التفاعل والانسجام بین الطلاب جاءت مرتفعة، وأن فاعلیة نظام المقررات فی تحقیق التفاعل والانسجام بین المعلمین جاءت مرتفعة، وأن الدرجة الکلیة لفاعلیة نظام المقررات من وجهة نظر عینة الدراسة جاءت متوسطة، کما تبین من خلال النتائج أنه لا توجد فروق فی استجابات عینة الدراسة تعزى لمتغیر النوع (ذکور – إناث) بینما توجد فروق تعزى لمتغیر الدرجة العلمیة (معلم – طالب) لصالح المعلمین. The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the curriculum system in the Saudi secondary stage schools from the viewpoints of the students and teachers. The study made use of the descriptive method, and utilized a questionnaire for collecting the study data. The study was administered to a sample consisting of 651 individuals (208 teachers and 443 students in the secondary stage). The results of the study revealed high effectiveness of the curriculum system from the viewpoints of the study participants, average effectiveness of the content of the curriculum system from the viewpoints of the study participants, high effectiveness of the curriculum system in achieving harmony and interaction among teachers, high effectiveness of the curriculum system in achieving harmony and interaction among teachers and average total degree of the effectiveness of the curriculum system from the viewpoints of the study participants. The results of the study revealed that there were no differences in the responses of the study participants due to the gender variable (males - females) while there were differences attributed to the variable of scientific degree (teacher - student) in favor of teachers.
