Background: Attention deficit-hyperactive disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders of childhood. Quality of life (QOL) is a multidimensional measure of the overall condition of a human life, both physical and psychosocial. Parenting styles describe the behavior of the parent towards the child and may be classified in many different ways. Objective: To correlate the role of parenting style in the quality of life in children with ADHD. Methodology: This cross-sectional was conducted on fifty children who were diagnosed ADHD according to the diagnostic and statistical fifth edition criteria. Quality of life was assessed using the Pediatric quality of life 4.0 Generic Core Scale,parental style was assessed using Alabama parental questionnaire.All patients were subjected to the Stanford Binet fifth edition to assess their intelligent quotient.ADHD rating scale IV-SC and Child behavior checklist were also applied. Results: There was statistical significance between parental style and QOL in children with ADHD. Correlation between QOL and parenting styles, total QOl score showed high significant positive correlation in positive parenting and involvement with (p=0.000)and (p=0.001) respectively. while it showed negative correlation with poor monitoring ,inconsistent discipline and corporeal punishment parenting styles with (P =0.006),(P =0.003) and(P =0.003). Conclusion: Parenting style is a significant factor in QOL in ADHD. QOL is an important treatment goal in children with ADHD, early family interventions, particularly those focusing on parenting style, should be considered. Keywords: ADHD , Parental style , Quality of life ,QOL. تأثیر نمط السلوک الأبوی علی جودة نوعیة الحیاة لدی الأطفال المصابین باضطراب فرط الحرکة و نقص الانتباه دینا هشام عادل نور الدین، عمر السید الشوربجی ،ایهاب محمد عید قسم الدراسات الطبیة، کلیة الدراسات العلیا للطفولة،جامعه عین شمس.المقدمة: اضطراب فرط الحرکة و نقص الانتباه هو اضطراب عصبی نمائی یتمیز بنقص فی الانتباه،تشتت:اندفاعیة و فرط فی الحرکة. هذا الاضطراب هو حالیا السبب الشائع ل إحالة الأطفال إلى الاطباءالنفسین ، وهو ما یمثل حوالی٣٠ ٪ -٥٠٪ منها . لهذا السبب ،یعتبر واحدا من مشاکل الصحة العامة الأکثر خطورةکما یسبب التعامل مع هذا الاضطراب حملا اقتصادیا کبیرا للأطفال و العائلات ، وکذلک للمجتمع. ویعانی افراد اضطراب فرط الحرکة و نقص الانتباه هو لیس فقط من أعراض عدم الانتباه ، وفرط النشاط ، و الاندفاعیة ، ولکن الهدف من الدراسة: ١(دراسة أسلوب الوالدین فی الأطفال الذین یعانون من اضطراب نقص الانتباه فرط النشاط الحرکی . ٢) تقییم تأثیر أسلوب الوالدین فی نوعیة الحیاة فی الأطفال الذین یعانون من اضطراب نقص الانتباه فرط النشاط الحرکی. منهجیة الدراسة: نوع الدراسة: دراسة وصفیة المرضی:أجریت هذه الدراسة علی خمسین طفلا من المصابین باضطراب فرط الحرکة و نقص الانتباه من الجنسین الذین یترددوا علی عیادة الطب النفسی بمرکز ذوی الاحتیاجات الخاصة،جامعة عین شمس. لکل طفل من المشترکین فی الدراسة الی: التاریخ الطبی الشامل مع الترکیز علی أعراض اضطراب فرط الحرکة و نقص الانتباه، فحص اکلینیکی شامل، واستبیان الحالة الاجتماعیة والمالیة، والقیاسات النفسیة( مقیاس فرط الحرکه و نقص الانتباه - ADHD rating scale IV-SC. مقیاس مستوی الذکاءStanford Binet fifth edition .مقیاس Child behavior Checklist. .PedsQL 4.0 Generic Core Scalesمقیاس نوعیة الحیاة .Alabama Parenting Questionnaireمقیاس نوعیة النمط الابوی النتائج: تم فحص خمسین طفلا من المصابین بنقص الانتباه و فرط الحرکه و اظهرت النتائج وجود علاقه احصائیه بین النمط الابوی و جوده نوعیه الحیاه فی الاطفال المصابین بداء فرط الحرکه و نقص الانتباه. الکلمات المفتاحیه: فرط حرکة/نقص انتباه - نمط ابوی – جودة نوعیة الحیاة
