This research focuses on determining twenty three potential barriers pertai ning to four main constructs of barriers (classroom environment, students, resources and lecturers' competence) aff cting the implementation of multiple teaching techniques. Via a self-administered questionnaire with the s taff members of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels of Helwan University, nine barriers were identified. The most pr minent barrier was the lack of up-to-date classroom equipment. Other identified barriers through this investigation include: the large number of students enrolled, the poor design of classrooms, the lack of air conditions i n classrooms, the short time of lectures, the poor communication skills of students, the economic background of stu ents, the budgetary constraints of the faculty and the lack of relevant courses offered to facult y members. The results also revealed significant differences among respondents based on their years of teaching e xperience and their perceptions towards each barrier. Implications and recommendations for further research are also off ered.
