Gurun district which is located at the south part of Sivas has rough and hilly feature in terms of landforms. That district, which is known as important settlement for a long time, has great ecotourism potential in terms of both cultural features and geological shapes, natural beauty. For these reasons, study tried to identify ecotourism potential of Gurun district by analyzing natural and cultural features. First of all, natural and cultural inventory of Gurun were determined, after that, by making SWOT analysis (Powerful, Weak Sides and Opportunities and Threat) on inventory which was taken, potential of city ecotourism was examined. According to SWOT analysis results; districts has potential to be an ecotourism area thanks to natural sources and historical structures. In such circumstances like, insufficient advertisement of district, local people unconscious about topic and inadequate accommodation for eco-travelers were determined as negative factors for Gurun ecotourism. Therefore, study tried to make up deficiencies in this content and give usage recommendations to sustain ecotourism sources without any harm to ecological balance.
