Investments in highways in the country holds an important place in the past years. But the importance given to highways throws the other ways of transportation to the background resulting in a negative impact. Although highways provide opportunity door to door transportation, constant rising of oil prices and other expenses reveal negative aspects of highway transportation. Thus, in the transportation sector; highways, airways, seaways and lastly pipeline ways are planned as a combination of all of these. Undoubtedly, the time is an important parameter that determines the preferred concept. Our country has accelerated its policy towards the usage of high-speed trains in recent years. The use of the latest technology of high-speed trains, Magnetic Levitation Train (Maglev) have, began to spread all over the world. In our country, although different scientific studies have been done regarding Maglev trains, technical studies are still very new for to integrate these trains into our lives. In this study, maglev train implementations are mentioned and the cost of construction around the world is investigated. In the conclusion part, it was determined at which distances the maglev train system and its technologies are more applicable..
