Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is one of the most common chronic diseases in the geriatric population. However, CRS inflammatory mechanisms in older people have not been thoroughly investigated. Our work aimed to analyze the bacterial flora of the nose and paranasal sinuses in patients with CRS over 65 years of age, including comorbidities, previously performed endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS), presence or absence of polyps and the extent of the inflammatory process.
