In this study, I present experimental results on the equilibrium between boracite [Mg 3 B 7 O 13 Cl(cr)] and kurnakovite [chemical formula, Mg 2 B 6 O 11 ·15H 2 O(cr); structural formula, MgB 3 O 3 (OH) 5 ·5H 2 O(cr)] at 22.5 ± 0.5 °C from a long-term experiment up to 1629 days, approaching equilibrium from the direction of supersaturation, Mg 3 B 7 O 13 Cl(cr) + H +  + 2B(OH) 4–  + 18H 2 O(1)  ⇌  3MgB 3 O 3 (OH) 5 ·5H 2 O(cr) + Cl – .
