Two s i t e s i n McCulloch County, Texas, S i t e s 41MK28 and 41MK29, were t e s t e d i n August, 1981, and were found t o have very shal low o r su r f ace depos i t s . S i t e 41MK28 proved t o be a badly eroded s u r f a c e s i t e . That p o r t i o n of S i t e 41MK29 which l a y i n t h e proposed right-of-way was found t o be a l r eady destroyed by previous r o o t plowing and f i r e l ane cons t ruc t ion a c t i v i t i e s . Fur ther excavat ion is n o t recommended a t e i t h e r s i t e because of t h e d i sturbed na tu re of t h e s i t e s and t h e l a c k of depth t o t h e depos i t s .
