シ リ カ と カ ーボ ンの 混 合 粉 末 をN2とH2の 混 合 気 流 中 で加 熱 して シ リカ の還 元 窒 化 炭 化 を行 い, 合 成 条 件 がSi3N4(α+β) と β-SiCの 生 成 比, Si3N4相 中 の α-Si3N4の 生 成 割 合 (Si3N4中 の α率 と 以 下 呼 ぶ) 及 び 生 成粒 子 の形 状 へ及 ぼ す効 果 を調 べ, 各 相 の生 成 経 路 を考 察 し た. 生 成 物 は α-Si3N4, β-Si3N4及 び β-SiCで 形 状 は 球 状 粒 子, 針 状 結 晶 及 び板 状 結 晶 で あ っ た. 原 料 のC/SiO2比 が 増 加 す る とSiC/Si3N4比 は 増 加 し, ま たSi3N4中 の α率 は 漸 減 し, C/SiO 2 > 3 で は約0.7で 一 定 と な る. 1475°C で はPN2/(PN2+PH2) 比 が 増 加 す る とSiC/Si3N4比 は減 少 し, ま たSi3N4中 の α率 も減 少 す る. PN2/(PN2+PH2)=0.79で の3SiC+2N2=Si3N4+3Cの 平 衡 温 度 は1530°C 付 近 で あ る. Si3N4の 安 定 領 域 で のSi3N4(α+β) の 生 成 経 路 に は, SiO2か ら 直接 生 成
