In this study, Gd and Er double-doped CeO2 was synthesized by a microemulsion method. Ce0.8Er0.1Gd0.1O2-α-K2SO4-Li2SO4 composite electrolyte was prepared by mixing Ce0.8Er0.1Gd0.1O2-α powder with binary sulphates. The structures of Ce0.8Er0.1Gd0.1O2-α and Ce0.8Er0.1Gd0.1O2-α-K2SO4Li2SO4 were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectrometer. XRD spectra showed that the Ce0.8Er0.1Gd0.1O2-α structure was not affected by K2SO4-Li2SO4. Raman spectrometer further indicated that the prepared Ce0.8Er0.1Gd0.1O2-α-K2SO4-Li2SO4 had a cubic structure of CeO2 and the existence of SO4. The maximum conductivity of Ce0.8Er0.1Gd0.1O2-α-K2SO4-Li2SO4 reached 0.21 S·cm at 700 °C.
