This article explores the journalistic narrative beyond textual modality and journalistic genre, considering it as a way of real-world appropriation, capable of giving a meaning to it (LEAL, 2013). Through a pragmatic analysis (MOTTA, 2013), we discover the argumentative strategies used in the special article entitled Ultimos Desejos, published in Zero Hora newspaper in July, 2015. From results, we can understand that the journalist Larissa Rosso used two narrative construction approaches: one more objective, reality-oriented, related to history time, places where it happens and characters involved in it, reinforcing facts veracity; and the other more subjective, with literary resources, guiding the reader in his/her interpretation activity.
