The new millennium has been characterized by unprecedented breakthroughs in knowledge and technology. The 21st century challenges have called for new paradigms and “maps” of engagements in all spheres of life. Education in particular, continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring national and global survival and growth through its curriculum planning and implementation. The main challenge for curriculum implementation at the turn of the 21 st century is moving away from knowing to doing. To ensure efficiency of the school system and the development of 21 st century skills, our schools need state of the art teachers and classrooms as central frames to curriculum implementation.
