. The main objective of the present study is to understand better how Czech women construct their views on feminism and also the way they form their feminist identification. The article reflects the development and current situation of feminism in the Czech Republic, which is specific for its historically conditioned connotation. Consequently the study presents the analytical results of the qualitative research. By applying the technique of semistructured interviews, the author brings up the questions of how Czech women perceive and understand feminism and how they interpret the current situation of women. One of the main objectives of the empirical part is also to find out whether it is possible to apply Aronson’s typology (2003) of feminism to the situation in the Czech Republic. Due to the specificity of the Czech environment, the author comes to the conclusion that there can be identified four different approaches to feminism. Within this framework, the analysis of interviews led to the identification of several important factors that affect the construction of feminist consciousness among Czech women. El objetivo principal del presente estudio es un esfuerzo para comprender mejor como las mujeres checas construyen sus puntos de vista sobre el feminismo y tambien la manera en la que forman su identificacion feminista. El articulo refleja el desarrollo y la situacion actual del feminismo en la Republica Checa, que es especifico por su connotacion historicamente contingente. A continuacion el estudio presenta los resultados analiticos de la investigacion cualitativa. Al aplicar la tecnica de las entrevistas semiestructuradas, la autora plantea preguntas tales como si las mujeres checas perciben y comprenden el feminismo y como interpretan su situacion actual. Uno de los objetivos principales de la parte empirica es tambien la averiguacion de si es posible aplicar la tipologia de Aronson (2003) del feminismo a la situacion en la Republica Checa. Debido a la especificacion del ambiente checo, la autora llega a la conclusion de que se pueden identificar cuatro actitudes diferentes hacia el feminismo. En este marco, el analisis de las entrevistas dio lugar a la identificacion de varios factores importantes que afectan la construccion de la conciencia feminista entre las mujeres checas.
