Resumen: Los “matrimonios de conveniencia”, fenomeno muy comun en los paises sometidos a fuerte inmigracion y que comienza a tener importancia en Espana, que ha pasado de ser “un pais de emigracion al extranjero”, a ser “un pais receptor de ciudadanos que llegan de otros paises para vivir aqui”. Mediante estos enlaces, no se busca en realidad contraer matrimonio entre un nacional y un extranjero, sino que se pretende bajo el ropaje de esta institucion y generalmente previo precio, que un extranjero se aproveche de las ventajas del matrimonio a los efectos de regularizar su estancia en el pais o de obtener de forma mas facil la nacionalidad del que aparecera formalmente como su conyuge. Abstract: “Marriages of convenience” is a very common problem in countries tied to high immigration and that begins to have enough importance in Spain, that has gone from being “a country of emigration abroad”, to being “a receiving country of citizens who come from other countries to live here”. Through the cover of this institution and generally for a price, a foreigner takes advantage of the benefits of marriage aiming to regularise his stay in the country or to obtain in an easier form the nationality of which will appear formally like its spouse.
