This study was carried out to determine the effects of inoculation with different rhizobia on the yield and yield components in some chickpea varieties and lines in Bursa, in the years 2002 and 2004, at The Uludag University, Agricultural Faculty, Field Crops Department. Field experiment was set as complete randomized block design with factorial arrangemet and three replications. As the result of this research, it was determined that inoculation with different rhizobia did not increase the seed yield. The highest seed yield values (mean: 163.1 kg/da) for all chickpea varieties and lines, used in this research, were observed in plots none inoculatednitrogen fertilized. The seed yields obtained from applications with different rhizobia varied between 139.4-151.8 kg/da. To increase the seed yield of chickpea in Bursa , it will be useful to use rhizobia, suitable for the produced variety and having more competitive vigor for inoculation.
