Ke stanoveni obsahu lipidů v obilce jecmene a ve sladu byla optimalizovana moderni metoda extrakce na fluidnim loži. Z vyextrahovaných lipidů bylo stanoveno zastoupeni mastných kyselin v obilce jecmene a ve sladu. Zastoupene mastne kyseliny byly stanoveny jako methylestery připravene transesterifikacni reakci. Vznikle estery byly separovany metodou plynove chromatografie s plamenově ionizacni detekci na kapilarni koloně SLB-IL 100.
