espanolLas empresas de la industria textil y de la indumentaria, al igual que las empresas de otros sectores, se encuentran ante el desafio que plantea el desarrollo sustentable. Al respecto, algunos autores utilizan los terminos sustentable y sostenible como sinonimos, mientras que otros establecen diferencias significativas entre ambos. En este articulo utilizaremos el concepto de desarrollo sustentable entendiendo que el mismo es el resultado de un crecimiento economico que promueve la equidad social y que establece una relacion no destructiva con el medio ambiente. Por otra parte, en el informe Brundtland se define al desarrollo sustentable como aquel que garantiza la satisfaccion de las necesidades presentes sin comprometer las posibilidades de las generaciones futuras de satisfacer sus propias necesidades. De acuerdo a estas consideraciones, el desarrollo sustentable promueve un crecimiento economico que requiere de politicas y acciones que respeten el medio ambiente y que, ademas, sean socialmente equitativas. De lo expuesto anteriormente podemos considerar tres dimensiones del desarrollo sustentable: la dimension economica, la dimension social y la dimension ecologica. Algunas empresas comienzan a disenar estrategias de marketing que tienen en cuenta al medio ambiente con el objetivo de competir con un nuevo modelo de negocios que contempla las nuevas tendencias conservacionistas de la sociedad. Al respecto, el marketing sustentable o marketing verde tiene como objetivo crear valor a la empresa y a los distintos stakeholders mediante el diseno y produccion de bienes y/o servicios que sean beneficiosos para el medio ambiente y la sociedad en su conjunto. Esto presupone el desarrollo e implementacion de nuevas tecnologias que preserven el medio ambiente y que no afecten la calidad de vida de las personas. Una empresa del sector textil y de la indumentaria que aplique estrategias de marketing sustentable podria obtener ventajas competitivas. EnglishCompanies in the textile and clothing industry, as well as companies in other sectors, are facing the challenge of sustainable development. In this regard, some authors use the terms interchangeably sustainable and “sostenible”, while others require significant differences between them. In this article we use the concept of sustainable development with the understanding that it is the result of economic growth that promotes social equity and establishes a non-destructive action to the environment. Moreover, in the Brundtland report sustainable development is defined as that which guarantees the satisfaction of present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. According to these considerations, sustainable development promotes economic growth that requires policies and actions that respect the environment and also be socially equitable. From the above we consider three dimensions of sustainable development: the economic, the social and the ecological dimension. Some companies are beginning to design marketing strategies that take into account the environment in order to compete with a new business model that includes new conservation trends in society. In this regard, sustainable or green marketing marketing aims to create value to the company and various stakeholders through the design and production of goods and / or services that are beneficial to the environment and society as a whole. This presupposes the development and implementation of new technologies that preserve the environment and do not affect the quality of life of people. A company in the textile and apparel to implement sustainable marketing strategies may gain competitive advantage.

Marketing sustentable. Utilización del marketing sustentable en la industria textil y de la indumentaria
