espanolEl arte y las nuevas tecnologias han abierto innumerables debates sobre cuestiones eticas y esteticas. Han producido un sinfin de reflexiones en torno a las implicaciones socio biologicas del binomio arte - ciencia. El bioarte es un arte que involucra aspectos cientificos y tecnologicos. Utiliza tecnicas y procedimientos de las ciencias biologicas sobre material organico vivo, como bacterias, celulas o plantas. El fin es artistico. La provocacion, la polemica y la discusion se instauraron desde las primeras obras inscriptas en el bioarte. El mismo, no ha dejado de causar estupor, contradicciones, aficionados y detractores. Los artistas esgrimen su defensa resaltando el valor de instaurar un cuestionamiento publico, del uso de la ciencia y la manipulacion genetica. La biologia le ha permitido al artista explorar diversos caminos, que han resignificado su obra y el papel del artista en la historia del arte. A partir del material organico, el artista comienza un proceso de creacion. Hay una mise en scene del cuerpo, pero no como una unidad. Sino un montaje, de un cuerpo desfragmentado, que pasara a ser parte de otro, a modo de patchwork, donde esos modulos se reconfiguraran de sentido para formar una nueva unidad. Estos fragmentos aparecen como objets trouves, en el cual el artista como un alquimista, los muta, los transforma y ensambla, creando una nueva corporeidad, con su propia carga simbolica. They have produced countless reflections on the sociobiological implications of the relationship between art and science. The bio-art is an art that involves scientific and technological aspects. Techniques and procedures used in the biological sciences live on organic material such as bacteria, cells or plants. The end is artistic. The provocation, controversy and discussion were introduced from the first registered in the bio-art works. He himself has continued to cause stupor, contradictions, fans and detractors. Artists wield their defense highlighting the value of establishing a public questioning of the use of science and genetic manipulation. Biology has allowed the artist to explore various ways that have redefined their work and the artist’s role in the history of art. From organic material, the artist begins a process of creation. There is a mise en scene of the body, but not as a unit but as a scened defragmented body, which will become part of another, like a patchwork, where these modules will configure a new unit. These fragments appear as found objects, in which the artist as an alchemist, mutates, transforms and joins them creating a new corporeality, with its own symbolism.
