Hancornia speciosa Gomes, is a fruit species native to Brazil, popularly known as mangaba, belonging to the family Apocynaceae. Recent studies show that mangaba has been increasingly prominent in agribusiness and pharmacology, and even so, phenological studies of this species are still scarce. In the field, the phenological events (Flower budding, anthesis, immature and mature fruit, bud, young and adult leaves and foliar fall) were monitored in the field of 15 individuals, monthly, for 13 ENCICLOPÉDIA BIOSFERA, Centro Científico Conhecer Goiânia, v.15 n.27; p. 2018 8 months. To analyze the data, the percentage of Fournier, the presence and absence method and the Spearman correlation were used. A positive correlation was observed between precipitation, temperature and flower budding, anthesis and sprout. The flower budding, anthesis, immature fruit, sprout and young leaf were recorded in greater intensity during the rains. Precipitation negatively influenced leaf fall due to the fact that it occurred during the dry season. Adult leaves were present during all months of observation. H. speciosa presents strategies to support the conditions imposed by the cerrado and increase the chances of reproduction.
